A new festival is coming to Kraków this autumn, bringing together solo performers and a wide range of theatrical styles over one weekend.
Kraków's cultural calendar will gain a new event this October with the first edition of SoloStage Festival, a weekend dedicated to the art of solo performance.
Taking place from 2 to 4 October 2026, the festival will explore the possibilities of a single performer on stage, with a programme spanning contemporary drama, comedy, physical theatre, experimental works and non-verbal performances.
Performances will be presented in English, Polish and without spoken language, creating a programme that brings together different theatrical traditions and approaches.
A Festival Built Around Solo Performance
Solo performance can take many forms. Without a traditional ensemble on stage, the performer carries the responsibility for creating the atmosphere, developing the story and maintaining the audience's attention.
SoloStage Festival aims to explore that variety rather than defining solo theatre through one particular style.
